Stop being so hard on yourself - try a little trust instead
What’s top of mind for me right now is how hard most people are on themselves.
They confuse thought work, or improving their mindset, with beating themselves up.
It doesn’t work that way.
You cannot hate yourself to a better life.
It seems obvious when you put it like this - yet so many people are stuck in a cycle of setting goals, not following through and then beat themselves up about it.
And this hurts not only them, but all of us.
So why do people do this?
Why are they so merciless towards themselves?
Usually because of this belief: that they cannot be trusted to do the right thing.
They think that if they're not constantly keeping themselves in check, they'll just turn into a binge-watching useless zombie.
If this is you, then this weekend, I want you to try an experiment.
Try trusting yourself to always do the right thing.
How? By constantly asking yourself this question:
If you trusted that you would make the right decisions for yourself, your body, your relationships, your business, your life, one 100 percent…Then what would you do?
How would you live, work, play?
Then go do that.
Give it a go - and let me know how it works out.
Have a great weekend,
