Stop trying to be Consistent

When I start working with fast-brained entrepreneurs they often tell me that their businesses would be much more successful if they were more consistent.

Most of the time, they're wrong.

They are totally able to be consistent where and when they want to.

They diligently practice dressage, and show up for their friends, clients, and gym appointments.

They deliver on what they promise.

They ship.

And yes, they *also* want to constantly (and consistently) do new things.

They want to create new products, try out new collaborations, improve their processes - and sometimes even burn it all to the ground to build something new.

In their case, this "inconsistency" is not a bug - it's a feature.

If you're fast-brained and highly creative, your inconsistency is an asset.

You are unpredictable (even to yourself).

You see things nobody else sees.

You innovate.

You move fast.

And mercifully, you are NEVER boring.

So let go of the idea that more consistency is what you need to get more done and feel more fulfilled.

Look at how consistent you are in the areas where consistency pays off for you.

And be intentionally inconsistent where you need to create, transform, invent, problem-solve, and grow.

Let go of the desire to fit into a mould that was never made for you.

Notice how much joy and energy that frees up.

And go play.
