You’ve got productivity all wrong

Are you a smart, creative human who procrastinates?

Do you endlessly postpone small things…or big things…such as

  • Preparing a presentation

  • Doing your admin

  • Writing that article

  • Replying to emails

Are there tasks and projects which you start work on much later than makes sense?

Then you’ve probably told yourself you’re lazy - and you might even believe it.

You try to solve your ‘laziness’ by being very strict or hard on yourself.

You say things like “Come on, just do it!”

You read books on productivity.

And you get even more convinced that you should just get your act together and get it done.

But you’re buying into a very linear, Industrial Revolution era idea of productivity.

What if that’s not at all how this stuff works for you, with your gifted, creative brain?

What if you’re trying to make yourself do something which you’re totally not wired for?

And then hating on yourself because it doesn’t work?

It may seem 'productive', but you 're constantly undermining your self-worth.

And we all know that’s not the way to go.

So what’s a smart human to do?

Well first of all, let go of that idea of linear productivity.

You don’t come up with amazing solutions, books, concepts by forcing yourself to travel in a single direction, at a constant pace.

You need to graze.

Gaze.

Putter.

Give yourself time to discover, connect, integrate.
Synthesise.

The sooner you realise that this is an essential part of your work, the better.

Does that mean that all procrastination is great?

No. There is smart procrastination, and there is silly procrastination.

You need to figure out how to make room for the former, and to stop doing the latter.

I’m going to explain how that during a free webinar on Tuesday June 8, 20.00 CEST.

Come join me and a whole bunch of other smart people and allow me to show you how to start loving your work, your life, and yourself again.

You can sign up via this link:
